Project Overview

Project Overview

Atlas is a Web3 development platform built to streamline how developers and organizations create, deploy, and manage smart contracts. Whether you’re starting from scratch or working with pre-existing contracts, Atlas provides a seamless interface and powerful tooling that bridges usability with the complexities of blockchain infrastructure.

As the UI/UX designer on the project, my responsibility was to design a developer-centric yet accessible experience — from intuitive contract creation workflows to comprehensive documentation and robust API integrations.

Problem

Problem

Building and deploying smart contracts in Web3 environments can be technically demanding, fragmented, and intimidating — especially for newcomers. Challenges include:

  • Setting up local environments for contract development

  • Lack of UI tools for visualizing or editing contracts

  • Complex deployment pipelines

  • Difficulty integrating external tools, wallets, and payment flows

  • Scattered or insufficient documentation

Impact

Impact

Reduced contract deployment time by 40–60% compared to traditional methods

  • High user satisfaction in testing, especially among teams building MVPs on-chain

  • Positive reception of visual contract templates and live API explorer

Key Learnings

Key Learnings

  • Developer-first doesn’t mean complex — good UX is still essential

  • Transparency matters — surfacing real-time blockchain data builds trust

  • Documentation is part of UX — clear, actionable docs reduce support overhead and enhance adoption
